Article I
Name The name
of this club shall be known as the Belgian d'Uccle and Booted
Bantam Club. Here after referred to as The Club.
Article II
Purpose The purpose of The Club
shall be to encourage the development of good
fellowship among fowl fanciers and to encourage each member to endeavor to
breed their Belgian d'Uccles and Booted Bantams for qualities approaching
the highest standards of perfection so as to improve the competitive status
of
the breeds. In support of this objective, The Club shall place as many
meets
each show year as possible.
Article III
Membership:
Section 1 All members shall be active members.
Section 2 Any person of good character
and reputation who is a breeder of Belgian
d'Uccles or Booted Bantams, or any other breed of poultry or who is
interested in poultry may become a member of The Club. Application
for
membership shall be made to the Secretary and must be accompanied by the
membership fee for at least one year.
Section 3 The Club offers Junior
Membership to any person of good character and
reputation who is a breeder of Belgian d'Uccles or Booted Bantams, or any
other breed of poultry or who is interested in poultry, may become a
member of The Club. And must be between the ages of six (6) and
eighteen
(18) years. Application for membership shall be made to the Secretary
and
must be accompanied by the membership fee for at least one year.
Section 4 The Club offers a Family
Membership to any family of good character and
reputation who is a breeder of Belgian d'Uccles or Booted Bantams, or
any other breed of poultry or who is interested in poultry may become
a
member of The Club Application for membership shall be made to
the
Secretary and must be accompanied by the membership fee for at least one
year.
Section 5 The Annual membership dues
of the club shall be set by a vote of 2/3 of the
membership or if the 2/3 vote is not obtainable the executive Committee
shall set the membership dues amount..
Section 6 Dues shall be $7.50
a year for Juniors 6 to 18 years old, $10.00 a year for
an adult member 18 and up, and $15.00
a year for a family. Family consist
of related members living in the same house
{Father, Mother, and Children,
step and adopted children}. There
is a three year savings on dues as follows:
$20.00 Junior, $25.00 for an adult, and $35.00
for a Family.
Section 7 A Junior Member
shall pay Junior membership dues until the conclusion of
the membership year during which the junior member becomes eighteen
years old.
Section 8 The term of membership shall
be 12 months for one year members and shall
expire on the last day of the month in which you joined of each year.
Three
year members dues will expire the last day of month that you joined
in the
36th month of membership.
Section 9 Any member whose membership
dues become past due for six months is placed
on the inactive membership list and shall not receive any mailings
form the club,
and will loose any and all points accumulated in the awards
program . After
one year the inactive member will be dropped form the membership listing
unless
dues are paid.
Section 10 Life Membership may be awarded
to any member by the Board of Directors
upon donations to the club that total 55 times the annual dues for an
individual adult at the current dues rate for the year that application is
made. Application may be made to the club secretary by the
candidate or
any other club member on behalf of the candidate. Candidate must be 21
years old at the time of application.
Article IV
Officers, District Director, State Representative and Special offices:
Section 1 The Officers shall be the
President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer. and
District Directors.
Section 2 The officers shall be elected
by a vote of the club membership. The
President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer shall be elected for a
term
of three (3) years. The district Directors shall be elected for a term
of four (4)
years. Elections shall be held in the month of May and the new
officers will
take office on July 1.
Section 3 The duties of the President
shall be: (1) to preside over all meetings and
functions of the Club, (2) to carry out the instructions of the Executive
Board and members, (3) to appoint whatever committees as may be needed,
(4) To make appointments to fill offices as needed, (5) to appoint special
officers as needed (6) to appoint State Representative as named to him by
the
district directors, (7) to vote only in the case of a tied vote, and (8)
to
preform the customary duties of the office which are not herein delegated.
Section 4 The duties of the Vice President
shall be: (1) to fulfill the President's duties
should he become incapacitated, (2) to preside in the absence of the
President, (3) to serve as official representative of the club in the absence
of
the President. (4) to preform the customary duties of the office.
Section 5 The duties of the Secretary/Treasurer
shall be: (1) To keep a full and
accurate record of the business of the Club and accurate records of the
financial transactions of the club, (2) to receive dues and issue membership
cards, (3) to keep a total file of the membership of the club, (4) to
receive
monies paid to the club, (5) to handle the correspondence, (6) to handle
purchases for the club, (7) to manage the sale of club items, (8) to make
quarterly reports to the editor of the news letter, (9) To Place special meets
when needed and to place National meet upon the recommendation of the
District Director, (10) to preform the customary duties of the office which
are
not herein delegated.
Section 6 The President may appoint members
to assist the officers in the discharging
of their various duties.
Section 7 The duties of the
District Director shall be: (1) To place meets within their
district, (2) to promote the Club at all times and solicit meets from show
secretaries in their district, (3) to work to recruit new members in their
district. (4) to take bids for the National Meet in their district at
least 1 year
before the meet and to pass along the bids to the club secretary with their
recommendation for placement of the meet. (5) to appoint a State
Representative in each State in their District, (6) to preside over the club
meet at their district meet, (7) to submit a district report each quarter
one
month before the publish date of the newsletter, to be delivered to the
publisher of the newsletter. (8)to preform thecustomary duties of the office
which are not herein delegated.
Section 8 The State Representative
shall, (1) place meets within their state and at
the meets they attend shall complete the show report for the show secretary
and mail same to The Club secretary as soon as possible, (2) .to promote the
Club at all times and solicit meets from show secretary in their state, (3)
To
except dues payment at meet and forward the same with all information that
is required Membership Information Form, (4) to preform the customary
duties of the office which are not herein delegated.
Section 9 All Officers
of the club and the District Director shall make up the Board of
Directors and shall meet at each National Meet and any other time as
needed.
Section 10 When a vacancy
occurs in an elected office, the President shall have the
options to appoint a member to complete the remaining term of office or
he can call for an election of the members to elect a club member to
completed the term. This option is left up to the President.
Section 11 Appointed Position
shall be the State Representative and Awards Director.
The Awards Director shall be two (2) post, one in the eastern United States
and one in the Western United States. The term of their appointment shall
be four (4) years or until he or she request to be replaced.
Section 12 The duties of the
Awards Directors shall be: (1) to distribute the awards to
club members both adult and junior awards as set out in the awards
program and point system. (2) to keep the club secretary informed as
to
the point standing, and the editor of the newsletter.
